How do I sign and broadcast a transaction?
Send bitcoin from your multisig wallet by signing with your key, exporting the signed PSBT, and submitting it to Savel to complete the transaction — then broadcast to the network.
What you'll need
- • A wallet manager with access to one key to sign the transaction
- • Create a transaction, setting the destination address and amount
- • Export the PSBT file (.psbt) or QR code from your wallet software
Step-by-step guide
Create the transaction in your wallet software
In Sparrow Wallet (or your preferred software), create a transaction to spend from your Savel wallet — set the destination address and amount.
Sign with your key
Sign the PSBT with your hardware wallet or air-gapped device, following your wallet software's prompts.
Export the signed PSBT
After signing, export the signed PSBT from your wallet software as a .psbt file or a QR code — this is what you will hand back to Savel to complete the transaction.
Open Submit Transaction in your dashboard
Sign in and go to your wallet, then click Request signing. This opens the Submit Transaction page.
Upload the PSBT
Click "Choose a .psbt file" to select your signed PSBT, or scan the QR code. Savel parses it and shows a preview with the amount, fee, and signatures.
Choose whether to broadcast
Leave Broadcast transaction to the network checked to send it to the bitcoin network immediately after signing, or uncheck it to only store the signed transaction for later.
Submit for signing
Click Submit for signing (or Sign and broadcast). Savel completes the transaction and, if broadcasting, sends it to the network.
Tip: Scanning the signed PSBT as a QR code is the easiest way to transfer it from an air-gapped device. If you prefer to broadcast later, uncheck the broadcast option — the signed transaction is saved and you can broadcast it yourself from any wallet software.
